Quickstart Guide

Get started with DisputeWell in under 5 minutes. This guide walks you through importing your first credit report and creating your first dispute letter.

Create Your Account

If you haven't already, sign up for a DisputeWell account. You can start with our free tier which includes one credit report import and basic dispute letter generation.

After signing up, you'll be guided through a quick onboarding process to set up your profile and preferences.

Import Your Credit Report

DisputeWell integrates with SmartCredit to securely import your credit reports from all three major bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion).

  1. Go to your Dashboard and click Import Report
  2. Enter your SmartCredit credentials
  3. Wait for the import to complete (usually 10-15 seconds)
  4. Your credit data will appear in your dashboard

Review Your Tradelines

Once imported, DisputeWell automatically parses and organizes your credit data. You'll see:

  • Credit Scores — Your scores from each bureau
  • Tradelines — All accounts on your report (credit cards, loans, etc.)
  • Negative Items — Accounts that may be hurting your score
  • Inquiries — Recent credit checks on your report

Generate Dispute Letters

Found something that doesn't look right? DisputeWell's AI can help you generate a professional dispute letter.

  1. Select the tradeline or item you want to dispute
  2. Choose a dispute reason (or let our AI suggest one)
  3. Click Generate Letter
  4. Review and customize the letter as needed

You have two options for sending your dispute letters:

We'll print and send your letter via certified mail with tracking.

Download PDF

Print and mail it yourself.
